Woody Allen Filmography

Crazy and weird ideas, nice action and superb dialogue delivery, funny one liners and occasionally some mind blowing stuff. This is how you can describe Woody Allen. I havent watched all his movies yet. Been getting some time to view movies and so decided to view all Allen films one by one. Let us see hw our views change with each movie.

Planning to write a breif write up (or may be a review) hoping it would benefit the readers. I always try to educate my readers (U knw that :D).

Unrecognised Potential Novel - Review and Interpretation

Got a bunch of reviews from readers for the novel "Unrecognised Potential" authored by me. Some good, some bad and a few very bad. Most of them were about the need of the author to improve his vocab and grammar. I agree with most of them with the exception of one from an aspiring Bollywood Director who only seemed to have wanted to hate the work. The reviews, very good they were, I am trying to work on each and every recommendation made. But everyone mentioned about the freshness and uniqueness of the theme which is very welcoming.

Some of the reviews and experiences have greatly delighted me, for the effect the book has created on the reader and from some where deep down in me, I felt proud for creating such a work.

Below is the review from one reader who must have had a great time reading the novel. I felt like posting it just for the reason that I felt as if he could read what was in my mind when I was writing it.

Why am I an atheist?

Read an essay “Why I am an atheist?” by Bhagat Singh. Nice article...Good thoughts and very well expressed..For a while I felt as if I read Candide by Voltaire..

But the entire argument in the essay (leaving the personal traits aside) is based on the fact that suffering is inhuman which shouldn't be entertained by God if he really existed. The arguments took its root from logical reasoning with humanity as the theme which essentially is the root of the communist theory (religion is the opium of the masses as Marx said). The definition of happiness here is the logical division of riches and rights.

Why do we tend to separate..??

Why can't the world be our home?

We fight for it's survival and we are its' citizens. This idea will come more into our perspective in an imaginary situation of an alien attack. Other cases include: if we expand our boundaries, and let people settle in other planets... In this case we would be regionalistic about the earth and consider the other planets to be our enemies. It seems that this spirit or competition or shoudl I say this urge to form enemies with those who pose as a danger to our resources is inbuilt in us, even though this may not give us any long term advantage. We will have to evolve.

Hyderabadi...

Travelling early in the morning along the vein of the city when the darkness starts to leave giving space to light is so delighting. The bus needs to pass through the Old city and the Hi-tech city before reaching my destination. In the Old city, there would be silence everywhere that I would wonder what people would be doing. But I don't get bored; for the beautiful old buildings and the bridges would be speaking to me.

Book Review : The Fountain Head part 1

Been reading 'The Fountain Head' by Ayn Rand from quite some time. Very powerful words, mind blowing details, great expression and very relevant themes. Was very impressed with the way it started. Felt like Roark is the man the world needed. As the story progressed, got more insight about Roark and Peter Keating. Roark became a bit predictive but was never boring. It was Peter Keating's character that impressed me very much. The way he doubted his eligibility, status as a famous architect and the way he got destabilized in the presence of Roark was very impressive. I had come across many Roarks and Keatings during my IIT days; Keatings who assumed the best positions in the worlds best firms and Roark's who were struggling their part in their 'hopeful' world. It was very good to read similar characters in print.

Film Review and Analysis: Kubrick's 'The Shining' Unearthed Completely

The Shining is the movie which has never left my mind ever since I viewed it for the first time in my B Tech 2nd year. It is a psychological horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. It was produced by Kubrick himself and you can understand the artistic achievements with which he was ready to mesmerize the film lovers. People who have already viewed the film would appreciate this essay better.

Why most of the Indian names are God's names??

Both of you are ‘you’ because of your respective fathers. Let me tell you about me. I am ‘Surya’ because of my mother. When I was in my stomach, sorry, my mother’s stomach, she saw super star Rajnikanth’s film Dalapathi. Rajnikanth’s name in that film is Surya. As your fathers had their respective influences, my mother had an influence of Rajnikanth’s character and instantly decided that the child’s name would be Surya if it was a boy.”

“That’s quite a story man!” exclaimed everyone.

“That’s only half the story.Did you forget my full name Surya Narayana Choudhary?”
