Unrecognised Potential Novel - Review and Interpretation

Got a bunch of reviews from readers for the novel "Unrecognised Potential" authored by me. Some good, some bad and a few very bad. Most of them were about the need of the author to improve his vocab and grammar. I agree with most of them with the exception of one from an aspiring Bollywood Director who only seemed to have wanted to hate the work. The reviews, very good they were, I am trying to work on each and every recommendation made. But everyone mentioned about the freshness and uniqueness of the theme which is very welcoming.

Some of the reviews and experiences have greatly delighted me, for the effect the book has created on the reader and from some where deep down in me, I felt proud for creating such a work.

Below is the review from one reader who must have had a great time reading the novel. I felt like posting it just for the reason that I felt as if he could read what was in my mind when I was writing it.

This book is a myth buster, it really is or else how would one explain a 23 year old to write a book which only a septuagenarian can conceive or how an amateur can come up with such clear solutions to the complex social issues which prove tricky to the best of administrators .

If by chance a certain Rip Van Winkle slipped into deep sleep while reading this he would have blamed it for the TEAM ANNA effect by the time he woke up. This is a living story in the sense it focuses  those issues which bothers a lame-citizen of this country and who hasn’t yet broken the shackles to tackle them which is the need of the hour and and if anyone had any doubts that Siddharth was a little bit over idealistic the team Anna effect justifies it(wondering how??Read the book to find out) and by the way who is Siddharth??

In this Tale of four friends he is not just a character in this book he is that sub-conscious self  who resides deep inside all of us and only a select few of us realize that he should be unleashed. He is the one who reminds us that in spite of all the deliberate attempts to harm the balance in the  society there is still hope that it can still be brought back on track . It is one man`s strong will to bring a change in the society that this story is mainly about and in this noble path he was aptly supported by the charismatic and mature Swetha who eventually had to sacrifice her better half for a better society.

In a multi-faceted society one side, there are guys like Surya who in spite of being aware of all the repercussions some how hesitates to foster a change but the innocence and purity of love brings about a change in him. While on the other side, Imran and Salim are archetypes of a typical Hyderabadi  whose experiences and life style sum up the old city conditions .

The author doesn’t hesitate to call a spade a spade and rightly picks apart the perpetual problems being faced in the society and brings out the differences evident even to a non local resident in the name of Akanksha like abuse of girl child and rich-poor divide. Villages are the back bone of India they say but the present day pathetic situation is nothing but a mockery of sorts which is evident from the experiences the friends face in the village where huge potential has been thrown into gutters due to lack of recognition and In contrast to the routine blame-game policy as is common among young writers the author puts forth applicable and admirable solutions on how to tap the hidden potential in remote areas  in spite of the intricately related socio-economic problems which are best known only while reading the book.

In short this 100+ pages book is all about what the society needs today, i.e., to recognize or enlighten the Siddharth in you with able support from a Swetha by transforming a Surya. It is this recognition which led to the evolution of a Buddha, a Gandhi and a Anna hazare who like Siddharth stood out for a cause in-spite of all the odds to pass on the baton of Hope.

Have a great time reading the Novel which probably was born from the heart of the author.
